This week’s Finds Friday is an ink bottle that was recovered from a watching brief in Northumberland. The vessel has three ribbed sides, is 55mm in depth and dates from the Victorian period. The glass would have originally been clear but over time has been stained to purple by its contents. It would originally have had a cork stopper that was sealed with wax.
